Terror - The Damned, The Shamed
Century Media Records

Terror is back with their latest installment of no-holds-barred thrash metal in the form of The Damned, The Shamed. This CD demonstrates that the band is gaining momentum in the craft and shows no signs of mellowing out any time soon. While I failed to latch on to the band’s previous two records, I am finding lots to enjoy about this one, and I must credit producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed) for doing a bang-up job of bringing out the best of Terror’s sound, particularly the guitars and the vocals of Mr. Scott Vogel. Songs like “Betrayer” show some versatility with its middle section that serves as a brief rest stop amidst the chaos, resulting in an epic feel. “Lost Our Minds” follows suit as well, with some cool lead-guitar work, as does “Redemption.” In all, Terror should be very proud of this record, and I hope they keep up the good work. There are some great videos available for viewing at their MySpace site, which you can find at www.myspace.com/terror.
